We are honored to be Carteret County’s only private golf club, located on the coast of Eastern North Carolina; just a short drive from Beaufort, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle. Since opening in 1952, Morehead City Country Club has established a prominent place in Eastern North Carolina.  Come play what we guarantee to be as good of bent grass greens you will ever play.  This year the club has been given the honor of hosting the North Carolina Super Senior from the Carolinas Golf Association.Throughout the years, we have become the preeminent place for corporate, charity and fundraising golf events in Carteret County. Entertaining your business associates, clients, friends or donors is our specialty; Morehead City Country Club is the perfect place for the “Great Escape Day” from the office or daily grind. Known for our gracious and friendly service, you’ll find that we treat you as our personal guests, no matter how large or small the group. We have a reputation to keep up.Our golf course is complimented by our Clubhouse where our southern hospitality will welcome all your guests. Our spacious clubhouse comfortably accommodates up to 150 guests, highlighted by our view of the Newport River from our ballroom and deck.

  • Our on-site Tournament Management Professionals can also assist in customizing merchandise for “give aways” for an added special touch for your event.

Morehead City Country Club will create a menu to suit your and your guests’ needs, but keep in mind our favorite….The Morehead City Country Club Pig Pickin’! A slow roasted pig done in Southern Tradition, served with all the traditional favorites!Pricing for your Golf Tournament or Outing:Pricing for your event varies pending on time of year and day of week preference.


We host Shotgun Events Monday – Thursday both in the Morning and Afternoon. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are available as well, times vary.  Our schedule for events fills up quickly, so call now to reserve your special day!

  • Looking for a location for a social function?

Our grand dining room at Morehead City Country Club is the perfect site for anniversary celebrations, vow renewals, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, office and business receptions, as well as holiday parties.

Our dining room provides a wonderful setting, with a Ballroom and deck overlooking the Newport River. 

We can seat up to 200 guests inside for a buffet or sit-down dinner. We can accommodate even larger groups with an outside area for tent setup.

Our menu offers a wonderful array of packages that provide many options for your guests. Buffets, plated dinners or cocktail receptions are all possibilities. We will be happy to customize our cuisine to suit your event and budget.
