Thank you all for participating in the 42 Annual Seafood Invitational.  Or as many of you say, Purcell’s tournament.  Purcell Jones without questions has bee the most influential member of Morehead City Country Club since the club’s inception in 1952.  Mr. Jones started the Seafood Invitational in 1967.  Over the years the Seafood Invitational has been known not only for the great players and prizes, but outstanding food.  Mr. Jones worked with many area vendors to provide the best possible area seafood.  For this years tournament we did our best to follow in Purcell’s footsteps.  Thanks to Paul Pittman we were able to work with many of the same vendors.  As a staff we’re doing our best to carry on the excellent tradition Purcell has put into place.  Just as Mr. Jones would do we put 100% of the players entry fees back into  food and prizes.  Thank you to all who participated and all of your support.
